We’ve all been through that dreadful feeling on a Sunday night knowing that tomorrow means back to class and work. Having a bomb ass self-care routine and panglossian thinking can get you through a long week!

I usually have my self-care sessions on Sunday's or Monday's. I like to start off my self-care routines by saging. Saging is basically cleansing yourself or your space. It clears away any negative energy and different things that’s been lowering your vibration. I light my sage stick, put out the flame, and allow it to smoke. I then take the sage stick and wave it around my body from head to toe. It’s important to make sure your mind is clear and intentions are pure while doing this. When saging my apartment I go into every room and wave the stick in each corner. I also like to crack windows while saging my apartment. I’m not saying you have to do this. It’s just my preference. Saging always leaves me feeling light and refreshed.

I like to end my self-care sessions off by soaking in a hot bath. I add milk and honey foaming bath (Dr. Teals brand) or Epsom salt. I would advise everyone to create a playlist! I put my playlist on, lay back, and relax. I’ve Actually dozed off a couple of times! I be a little bit too relaxed sometimes. One thing I DO NOT allow myself to do is let negative thinking consume my self-care time. I think of ways to better myself and brand. Through the week, we are faced with so many different things and come across so many different types of energies and it can transfer into our lives. The time that we supposed to spend taking care of self, we spend it pondering on things that happened yesterday, last week, sometimes even years ago.

Something New I’ve added

YONI STEAMING/ V- Steaming

My best-friend recently told me about this and I had to try it. I did my research and it does a bunch of good shit for the V as well as the body.

● Detoxifies the womb and removes toxins from the body.

● Release stored emotions

● Decreases menstrual flow.

● Reduce dark purple or brown blood at the beginning or end of cycle.

● Reduces pain during cycles.

It helps with a lot more but these are the ones that stood out the most to me. So, after I did my research I went checked my cabinet to see which herbs I already had from when I take herbal baths. The herbs I used were basil, Rosemary, Oregano, and lemon balm. Once you get your herbs all you have to do is boil your water, pour it into a container that you’re comfortable with squatting over, and sprinkle your herbs on top. When doing my research, I read that you don’t have to mix the herbs in the water, just let them sit on top. I have to admit it was worth all the hype because when I was done my girl felt AMAZING down there! I’ll get to see more of its work when my cycle comes and goes since most of the benefits are cycle related. I’ll be sure to do a follow up!

Cover the lower part of your body with a towel to trap the steam if you are using something that you cant sit on.
